Wow how time FLYS by!!!

Well it sure has been a long time since I have updated my blog. So in a nut shell over that last couple months life has just been crazy. I have been to Utah and back three times, which was only a couple weeks apart of each other trip. Work......well lets just say its work. It flies by like always this time of year. From getting the snowmobile stuff up, out, and ready to go.... to Thanksgiving with the family, Christmas sales, shopping, and a whole lot of fun.

But now to the most recent stuff. I got a new digital camera for Christmas and I absolutely love it. When I open the package, my mom told me "Now you need to put it to good use and start into a small job of photography of your own." Well if you don't know me but I love taking pictures of other people and things, but like professional? I don't think so. But maybe someday I will get there!!!! As far as New Years, well the usual Gilleland house was rockin' all night. We had tons of food, people, and the traditional FIREWORKS!! Got to love them fireworks.

New Calling!!!

Well last week in church I got a new calling. I am now the secretary in the YW's presidency in our ward. Let me tell you that I am just a little on the scared side. To top it off this Sunday was our first sunday in YW's and I had to teach a lesson. Scary as all scary. Then on the 23rd I am in charge of an activity. No ideas in the little brain of mine. If any one has any good ones PLEASE let me know. Sure could use the help. You know how my brain works right? Not so well, especially when I have to think of something to do. But I guess if I just put my all into my new calling things will work out I bet. :)

Family Reunion!!

So this past weekend my grandma Wanda asked me and my sisters to take her to Denver for her family reunion. I was a little worried about going because I didn't know any of them. They are actually first cousins to her, and she really hasn't met any of them either. Well while we were there, of course you have to take pictures. We had pictures of everything. But my favorite, Grandma Kyla, and Kalisha being tough girls. I love it! It is the best picture I have from that day. Oh and of course the one of Grandma by herself....... well lets just say PRICELESS!!!

Now its grandmas turn to take a picture of us. All the girls were laying on the sidewalk and she HAD to get a picture.... of coure!! Grandma loves to take pictures because she now has a printer to print all of them out, so she loves it.

My first homemade skirt!!

Well for the first time I made me a skirt. Megan Bagwell asked me to help with her wedding so I decided to make me a skirt that would match her colors. But the only thing is I wasn't too sure how it would turn out so my mom made it for me. It turned out so cute I love it. If you can't tell from the picture it has two bows on the left side next to the zipper. I Love It!!!

Ward Campout!!

So just this past weekend our ward went up to La Manga Campground and had a ward campout. Boy was it fun. We didn't have too many come but we still had a really good time. From a scavanger hunt to a buzzing game, the fun never ended. Well it did when we packed up Saturday afternoon to head home. But all in all I say we do it again. Those that didn't go missed out on a ton of fun and relaxation. :)

Well the trek up there was pretty dang entertaining. Kyla, Dad, Melissa, JD, Makynlee, and I went up together. We left the house around 11:30. First stop, Antonito at G6 for lunch. Funny thing is this one guy came up to us and gave us a cd of his music. It was jazz flute, very interesting. Now headed up the pass. While driving up there, we passed the guy on the side of the road where you can look off. He was doing some weird exercise like thing with a sword. It was so funny. Then keep going! Well couldn't find where anyone was at so we turned around and went back down towards Horca (where the camp was) and dad smoked the brakes on the truck. Poor Dad he just needs a new truck!

Now we are finally at the campsite. Setting up camp, piece of cake. Especially when all you have to do is level the camper and set out the pop outs. So easy. Well thats mainly the most of the excitement. Toodles!!!!

Summer is almost over! :(

Well..... now that Pioneer days is over... Summer is over! It was a great weekend though. Kayla (my cousin) and her friend Kelly came down to visit. They got here Friday night and left Sunday morning. It is always a blast when they come down. But the best part is when they wanted to get scared Saturday night.

Lets just say it was a SCARY night for them. Kyla, Kayla, Kelly, myself, Brad Sowards, and Colby Hunt went for a drive out past the "M" mountain and scared ourselves for like three hours. We thought it would be fun to go to the cemetary.....boy was it fun. Brad thought it would be cool to leave us in the car and take the keys. Well if anyone knows Kayla.... she was terrified. I have never seen someone move so fast from the passenger seat to the back seat. Brad was outside of the car hitting the windows and everything. Kyla and Kelly were scared almost as much as Kayla. Now me on the other hand......brave one! YEP thats right not even scared a bit.

Then we came home and thought we better get to bed. Sunday morning, sad day, Kayla and Kelly went back to Denver. :( But i got the longest nap that day. It was great. Well until next time...... TOODLES !
